This is the second symphony concert of the Festival, surprising with its variance of styles. According to composition of Natalia Rojcovscaia-Tumaha, symphonic opus "Enlightenment", she deftly holds the orchestra, instrumentation, indicating a truly symphonic thinking with acute and dramatic collision. I’ve listened to Natalia, her works, for a long time in the Union of Composers and then it was clear that the young composer has verily orchestral thinking and symphonic approach.

SYNTHESIS OF MUSICAL PROGRAMMES IN THE CREATION OF THE COMPOSER NATALIA ROJCOVSCAIA-TUMAHA

Although at first and in a permanent process of perfecting the creation of the young composer Natalia Rojcovscaia-Tumaha presents an interest by its note of originality made in the context of local componistic with bold ideas for achieving artistic image and solutions to meet the requirements of current public. Her works requires be performing by professionals and hearing by the public with a level in the field of arts.

Bulgacov lovers will find the characters of the well-known novel The Master and Margarita in the overture - fantasy of the same name. Her collaboration with the directors of the National Opera has resulted in the successful synthesis between the academic and electronic music. As the composer told us namely this way she has the possibility to render more accurately the content of literary works and character image. This overture is written in computer with the help of music notation programs and some problems of orchestration of the work being addressed through programs of musical composition (music editors). The work was designed combining all that is best so that this artistic creation to become a “living” one, to find its audience and for a long time to maintain as a value of music successfully combining theory and skills.

As with other young composers, Natalia Rojcovscaia-Tumaha began using computer and exploit opportunities of the “intelligent calculating machines” during studies at the Conservatory. The orchestration lessons were thorough in experiments with musical editors, and later, under the guidance of Professor M. Afanasiev, from experiments in orchestrating passes to those of the componistic.

About the Finale program - the first program that has worked with on computer the young composer mentioned that thus found the answer to many questions such as: how it would be better to perform the orchestration of an work, which musical  instrument must be added to obtain a piece of music with a successful arrangement. From personal experience she convinced herself that it is much easier to compose and work on a new creation while listening immediately to what you have written on the score - confirming the known fact that the computer is a useful tool to the composer by the possibility of replacement in such cases of the full orchestra. But goes much further not only by the synthesis of genders, but also of different musical programs, preferring to write in music notation software, to process the sound and add effects in the same work with the help of music composition program, taking advantage of the possibilities offered of new information technologies to achieve a “perfect sound” and to achieve artistic ideas.

Another overture of her is the Storm (Furtuna) inspired by Shakespeare’s creation of the same name, the computer, in this case, helping to replace instruments hard to find in our orchestras such as the celesta, bells. According to Natalia Rojcovscaia-Tumaha “using electronic synth sounds you can get that allow successful replacement of missing instruments in the orchestra, so I used my harp in my diploma paper”. The Diploma Paper was the first opportunity to argue that synthetically produced sound is a “natural and interesting” one, so close to the sound of real musical instruments. Contemporary music is more demanding: the public does not want to hear only original compositions performed by professionals on the great scenes, but also with a rich arrangement that would be able to refresh the feast of encounter with art. “The computer helps me as my idea to become a whole and the more I study, the more new possibilities of orchestration I find”, - says the young composer, warning us that though “a synthesizer and computer furnished with music programs cannot replace the work done in a music studio, only to replace it temporary”.
